  • What you DON’T need to take to College

    January 17, 2018 /

Today I am sharing the things that I either knew not to bring to college or brought and found I did not use! Alarm Clock I bought one and I always just used my phone so if you are used to your phone alarm, I’d say it’s safe to rely on that. Microwave/Refrigerator You need to check specifically with your residence hall, but at least in Carroll Hall, the refrigerator and microwave are included. Just make sure to check online and see what is included in your room before making any big purchases because some things may be included! Food I will admit that I have macaroni and other microwavable…

  • What you actually NEED to take to College

    January 16, 2018 /

At NC State University, students are required to live on campus their first year. I know whenever I was preparing to move I was overwhelmed with the amount of items I needed to purchase and the endless lists on Pinterest that may or may not have been created by someone who has actually lived on a college campus. Now that I have completed my first semester, I have a better idea of the thins I actually need. Some of these items may not be necessary in your Residence Hall or you may need items not listed, so make sure to check out what is included in the room and the…

  • How to Shop my Outfits (Instagram, Blog, Facebook)

    January 11, 2018 /

I’ve gotten some questions recently about how to shop my posts on Instagram and I realized that although a majority of my Insta followers are familiar with Like To Know It, a lot of my blog readers come from my Facebook and those followers may not be so familiar with the concept. 1. Download the Like to Know it App OR Make an Account Online It’s simple and free. All you have to do is sign up with your email. 2. Screenshot my Instagram post OR copy the link at the end of the caption if you are on a desk top and paste it into your search bar OR…

  • Characteristics of a Libra and how accurate they are for me

    September 26, 2017 /

Hey y’all! I was watching Kendall Rae’s old YouTube video about Libra’s (she has not made her new one for this year yet) and I was shocked at how accurate the characteristics are! I also did a little research of my own, so today I am going to be sharing what I have learned about Libra’s and how accurate I think my zodiac is! Pleasant, put words together well, charming I would like to think that I am these things, but I am not sure that I can testify that I am. Kendall states that people often think they are flirting when they are not because of how kind and…

How to Study for College Exams

  • How to Study for College Exams

    September 22, 2017 /

I have officially survived my first week of college exams! Woohoo! 1. You have to study all your subjects every day Okay, maybe not every day. It is unrealistic for anyone to expect college students to study for every class every day. What I mean by this is, do not get behind. Do not wait until a few days before the exam to start studying, especially if it is a cumulative exam. You do not want to get behind and realize two days before the test that you do not understand material from the first week of class and therefore cannot understand any of the following material. Although completely unrealistic,…

  • What to Wear for Homecoming Court!

    September 13, 2017 /

Oh how I wish I could go back to high school just to redo my Homecoming Court outfit. Being a part of homecoming court gives you the opportunity to wear a unique outfit that you would not normally wear, and I did not take enough advantage of this opportunity. Traditionally, girls would wear a nice skirt, top, and jacket with heels or wedges and possibly tights. Oooh! Maybe like something you would wear to a holiday party! That is what those on Homecoming Court traditionally wore, and what I am choosing to focus the most on, but I know that many schools do not have specific requirements for the girls…

  • Summer 2017 Recap!

    September 11, 2017 /

Now that college football has begun and the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale has ended: summer is officially over. I figured it was about time to recap my transition summer from high school to college! Now that I am trying to capture all of my summer memories, I am realizing that the summer flew by! As always, I taught tennis lessons at my local recreational center every morning, so almost every summer day had some dedicated time on the courts. I also blogged A LOT. Like a new post every day and hours of photoshoots every week a lot. And honestly, it was so beneficial. The blog grew a lot and…

    August 30, 2017 /

It’s funny, I started writing this post over six months ago and it is crazy how much I had to change when editing it. How many of my goals I had accomplished, such as my goal of becoming a Jadelynn Brooke College Rep, and how many of my goal had just changed in general. When I originally drafted this blog post, I wrote that I might start a YouTube channel after I graduated college. I started my YouTube this passed July. I wrote that I hoped to have 5,000 Instagram followers at the end of my freshman year at NC State, I currently have almost 4,200 an 5,000 is my…

  • 10 Ways to Grow Blog Traffic

    August 17, 2017 /

    1. Have an Instagram for your Blog: Or you can start out with an Instagram and work your way towards a blog, like I did. Instagram is just a good way to connect with other bloggers and create a loyal following. Instagram is also a great way for brands to see your account and possibly decide to contact you to work with them! I would say that in general, Instagram is the most powerful tool for bloggers- even if it is not the platform that brings the most traffic to their actual blog website! Instagram has so many other valuable tools and ways to connect with your followers that you…
