OOTD: October 9, 2017
Woohoo! This Outfit of the Day series is still going strong! Today I am wearing yet again, items that I 100% recommends, and, yet again, kids items. I’m telling y’all, if you wear smaller sizes, ALWAYS try kids! Their items are SO much cheaper! This kids popover from Lilly Pulitzer is another color way remake of an original print, like I explained in yesterdays post: OOTD: October 8, 2017 . Anyways, since this popover is kids, it retails for only $52! If you do not know, the adult popovers retail for $98. Yep! Basically DOUBLE the kids price! I bought a kids XL in this popover and it fits me like an…

OOTD: October 8, 2017
I recently ran a poll on my Instagram story (@brightestofthebunch) asking if y’all prefer to see my OOTD’s on Snapchat (brightestotb) or if I should do them on the blog. Of course, y’all chose the version that requires more work for me, the blog. However, I am still going to post outfits on my snap, especially if I am not able to get a blog post up that day, so make sure to add me there! Anyways, then y’all said I have to WEAR the outfit the day I post it. I promise, I will try my best, but this daily series may not be so daily if that means…

Characteristics of a Libra and how accurate they are for me
Hey y’all! I was watching Kendall Rae’s old YouTube video about Libra’s (she has not made her new one for this year yet) and I was shocked at how accurate the characteristics are! I also did a little research of my own, so today I am going to be sharing what I have learned about Libra’s and how accurate I think my zodiac is! Pleasant, put words together well, charming I would like to think that I am these things, but I am not sure that I can testify that I am. Kendall states that people often think they are flirting when they are not because of how kind and…

How to Study for College Exams
I have officially survived my first week of college exams! Woohoo! 1. You have to study all your subjects every day Okay, maybe not every day. It is unrealistic for anyone to expect college students to study for every class every day. What I mean by this is, do not get behind. Do not wait until a few days before the exam to start studying, especially if it is a cumulative exam. You do not want to get behind and realize two days before the test that you do not understand material from the first week of class and therefore cannot understand any of the following material. Although completely unrealistic,…

Fashion Week Favorites: Kate Spade and Tory Burch Collections
Hey y’all! It’s September, the spring/summer fashion month of the year! I absolutely love watching all the runway shows and seeing all the new trends and outfits that are debuted during fashion week. I had originally planned to cover the whole week in a sort of day by day recap of what I loved the most that day, but that did not work out. One day, I hope to attend fashion week and be able to cover it all on my own. However, I am currently in college so I have to rely on magazine recaps and videos, and keeping up with fashion week and exam week was just not…

How to Style White Pants After Labor Day + Where this “rule” Originated in the First Place!
What do you mean I cannot wear white after labor day? I just bought these pants!? Where did this rule even come from!?! Based on my research from People Magazine and Charlotte Willis’s post on News.co.au , this rule is ancient (and therefore irrelevant in 2017???). According to Charlotte Willis, this rule started in the early 1900s. You know, when women were only expected to be house wives and discrimination still existed? Not in 2017, with the world as accepting of differences as it currently is. Anyways, wearing white meant a lot back in those days. Willis states that wearing white not only signified that you were wealthy, but that you…

What to Wear for Homecoming Court!
Oh how I wish I could go back to high school just to redo my Homecoming Court outfit. Being a part of homecoming court gives you the opportunity to wear a unique outfit that you would not normally wear, and I did not take enough advantage of this opportunity. Traditionally, girls would wear a nice skirt, top, and jacket with heels or wedges and possibly tights. Oooh! Maybe like something you would wear to a holiday party! That is what those on Homecoming Court traditionally wore, and what I am choosing to focus the most on, but I know that many schools do not have specific requirements for the girls…

Perfect Summer to Fall Transition Outfits
If you closely follow along on the blog, then you may have seen this look before. You also probably know that I have an obsession with this Lilly Pulitzer Two Piece. The reason I love it so much is that it can be worn SO many different ways! Also, the colors in it are perfect for transitioning into the fall! Here I am styling the top from this set with a suede button skirt and my all time favorite Steve Madden wedges. Styled like this, this look is perfect for warmer autumn days because even though you are wearing a crop top and skirt, the colors and fabrics look more…

Summer 2017 Recap!
Now that college football has begun and the Lilly Pulitzer After Party Sale has ended: summer is officially over. I figured it was about time to recap my transition summer from high school to college! Now that I am trying to capture all of my summer memories, I am realizing that the summer flew by! As always, I taught tennis lessons at my local recreational center every morning, so almost every summer day had some dedicated time on the courts. I also blogged A LOT. Like a new post every day and hours of photoshoots every week a lot. And honestly, it was so beneficial. The blog grew a lot and…
