Thanksgiving Outfit Ideas

Thanksgiving one of my favorite times of the year because I love getting to spend time with all of my family while eating good food (macaroni, sweet potato casserole, turkey (& leftover turkey with mayonnaise and Hawaiian rolls).. mmm, yummy!).

The best time of the season is almost here- the time of the season where we get all dressed up to sit in our living rooms! Do you have your outfit picked out yet?

The first outfit I have created is one of my personal favorites: a chunky white sweater, button front skort, and over the knee boots. I found an outfit very similar to this one when I went shopping for looks, as seen in this YouTube video. That look was my favorite in the video and felt the most flattering while not being too revealing because these “skirts” are actually skorts with shorts in the back and a wrap style front! Of course, you could wear any of the sweaters featured with jeans if you are looking for a more casual look. The over the knee boots I featured frequently in this post are claimed by bloggers to be “the best OTK boots out there.” I have wanted to grab these for years but have not picked them up yet so I cannot give my opinion, but I trust the hundreds of girls I follow that have raved about them. The photo I have linked is of the gray boots, but they also come in black and brown as you will see in the graphics. If you want them by Thanksgiving I would order ASAP (literally today) and probably definitely do express shipping because this website can take a minute to get things to you! Good News: This site is currently having 50% off orders over $450 with code GIVING50, 40% off orders over $250 with code GIVING40 and 30% off orders over $150 with code GIVING30! This is one of their biggest sales, especially considering that you only have to spend $150 to get access to a code. Click here to shop!

You can shop each of these looks by clicking on the image of the individual product in the carousel above the graphic. Thank you so much to everyone who shops through my links- it allows me to earn a small commission doing what I love at no extra cost to you!

I’m seeing a trend in this look that was also in the last: khaki buttons I’ve been seeing this style on dresses, jackets, skirts, shirts- nearly everything this fall and I am here for it! I think this look is really fun and unique but still looks classic: a button dress with a sleek, black turtleneck underneath and black OTK boots or black tights and booties or riding boots- whatever you prefer!

One of my go-to favorite boutiques that has all of their stock online for y’all to shop as well is Vestique. They have tons of options that would be great for Thanksgiving so definitely check out their website! This look is one that I also tried on in my video and I loved how it fit! It’s a super easy outfit: just a snake print dress and black boots! Their stuff sells out FAST so if you want it, grab it now!

Next is a super simple look- a plaid skirt and turtleneck or sweater!

If you haven’t picked up on it yet, I LOVE skorts. Vestique made these ruffle skorts in all different colors- but they’re almost sold out so hurry if you want one! They pair perfectly with sweaters or turtlenecks and over the knee boots!

I love this outfit for someone that does not want to wear a skirt/dress but still wants to be a little more dressed up. These pleated pants are the perfect combination of comfort and style (and they’re also great for eating). Pair them with a turtleneck or bodysuit and a pair of booties and you’re good to go!

This dress has been taunting me in my Facebook ads for months and yall, I just discovered IT’S A ROMPER. It looks so expensive and is under $60!

Next is a sweater dress with details that I love! Simple, cream sweater dresses are perfect for any event and can be paired with so many different boot options!

Next is another floral dress that has perfect Thanksgiving colors.

A turtleneck sweater dress is a great easy, go-to piece to have in your closet to grab for dinners and holidays!

This next dress is one I am considering purchasing for Thanksgiving. In my video, I tried on a similar one but it was not sweater material so it wasn’t my favorite option. I think that I would like this sweater dress a lot better. It would be perfect for Thanksgiving in orange or cream or for even Christmas if you choose the cream and it can be paired with several different boot options!

My snake skirt may be an option I am considering for Thanksgiving! Pair it with a yellow, brown, or orange sweater to tie in the “Thanksgiving colors” and you’re ready to go!

Next is an outfit that’s perfect if you want a casual look but still want to feel festive and fall! This sweater would also pair well with leggings or faux leather leggings.
