OOTD: October 16, 2017
Today’s OOTD is full of SGP! Today is the first day that it has realistically been cold enough to break out the L.L. Bean Boots and fleece vests here in North Carolina, even though I brought them out about a week ago. And let me tell you, I am so beyond excited to be able to wear bean boots and vests all day instead of having them on in the morning and having to change into shorts by 1:00. Today I am wearing one of my basic fall outfits. As you all probably know by now, my Bean Boots are my number one essential for fall. Speaking of fall essentials,…

OOTD: October 11, 2017
This Victoria Secret PINK tee was sent to me to share with y’all and it is honestly one of my favorite tees ever! I love how neon the pink is and I have tied a knot on the side to give it a little extra detail! I am also wearing Hollister shorts, a black choker, my Kendra Scott Elle’s, and my white kids Converse! These Hollister shorts are some of my favorite shorts. I normally wear a double zero in J.Crew and Lilly Pulitzer and I purchased a double zero in these! These fit me perfectly, but I have another pair of double zero Hollister shorts that are too tight,…

Fall Look Book Part 1//Styling L.L. Bean Boots!
Today I am sharing part one of my fall look book! This look book contains more “preppy” style clothing and each outfit is paired with L.L. Bean Boots, which is why I have also titled it “Styling L.L. Bean Boots!” If you prefer videos over blog posts, this look book is on YouTube too! Click Here To Watch In this first look, I am wearing this popover plaid flannel from J.Crew Factory that I scored on Black Friday last year! It is a thicker flannel material and has a half-zipper, so it is styled more like a light weight jacket- perfect for layering! I could not find the exact flannel,…

OOTD: October 10, 2017
Three days in a row! I cannot believe I have been able to keep this daily OOTD series going! If you have not already noticed, clearly I am obsessed with Lilly Pulitzer Kids leggings. If you have not heard all my hype over these already, you can read about it in yesterdays OOTD post: OOTD: October 9, 2017. Today I am pairing this psychedelic pair with my terry cloth Jadelynn Brooke tee. This tee is super soft and so easy to style! Since it is terry cloth, it would also be perfect to wear as a swim cover up in the summer! You can use my code ONNCSU for 15%…

OOTD: October 9, 2017
Woohoo! This Outfit of the Day series is still going strong! Today I am wearing yet again, items that I 100% recommends, and, yet again, kids items. I’m telling y’all, if you wear smaller sizes, ALWAYS try kids! Their items are SO much cheaper! This kids popover from Lilly Pulitzer is another color way remake of an original print, like I explained in yesterdays post: OOTD: October 8, 2017 . Anyways, since this popover is kids, it retails for only $52! If you do not know, the adult popovers retail for $98. Yep! Basically DOUBLE the kids price! I bought a kids XL in this popover and it fits me like an…

OOTD: October 8, 2017
I recently ran a poll on my Instagram story (@brightestofthebunch) asking if y’all prefer to see my OOTD’s on Snapchat (brightestotb) or if I should do them on the blog. Of course, y’all chose the version that requires more work for me, the blog. However, I am still going to post outfits on my snap, especially if I am not able to get a blog post up that day, so make sure to add me there! Anyways, then y’all said I have to WEAR the outfit the day I post it. I promise, I will try my best, but this daily series may not be so daily if that means…

Fashion Week Favorites: Kate Spade and Tory Burch Collections
Hey y’all! It’s September, the spring/summer fashion month of the year! I absolutely love watching all the runway shows and seeing all the new trends and outfits that are debuted during fashion week. I had originally planned to cover the whole week in a sort of day by day recap of what I loved the most that day, but that did not work out. One day, I hope to attend fashion week and be able to cover it all on my own. However, I am currently in college so I have to rely on magazine recaps and videos, and keeping up with fashion week and exam week was just not…

How to Style White Pants After Labor Day + Where this “rule” Originated in the First Place!
What do you mean I cannot wear white after labor day? I just bought these pants!? Where did this rule even come from!?! Based on my research from People Magazine and Charlotte Willis’s post on News.co.au , this rule is ancient (and therefore irrelevant in 2017???). According to Charlotte Willis, this rule started in the early 1900s. You know, when women were only expected to be house wives and discrimination still existed? Not in 2017, with the world as accepting of differences as it currently is. Anyways, wearing white meant a lot back in those days. Willis states that wearing white not only signified that you were wealthy, but that you…

What to Wear for Homecoming Court!
Oh how I wish I could go back to high school just to redo my Homecoming Court outfit. Being a part of homecoming court gives you the opportunity to wear a unique outfit that you would not normally wear, and I did not take enough advantage of this opportunity. Traditionally, girls would wear a nice skirt, top, and jacket with heels or wedges and possibly tights. Oooh! Maybe like something you would wear to a holiday party! That is what those on Homecoming Court traditionally wore, and what I am choosing to focus the most on, but I know that many schools do not have specific requirements for the girls…
