Atlantic & Beaufort Beach Recap + Travel Guide!
Last week I went on vacation with my Dad’s side of the family and stayed in Atlantic beach. My Dad’s girlfriend, Paige’s, uncle lives in Beaufort so we spent a lot of time there as well and got to stay in his girlfriends house in Atlantic beach. They planned a ton of activities and outings for us so today I will be sharing everything we did! I also vlogged the trip and split it into two videos so the first is below and you will have to subscribe to my YouTube channel to see the second! Trust me, you don’t want to miss it! In the second one I climb a lighthouse and share the view as well as the beautiful sunset from the night before and even more!

What We Did
Beach:
We clearly spent a majority of our time at the beach because we do not get to see the ocean and lay out in the sun very often. Dana’s mom Peggy was generous enough to allow us to be her guests at the Dunes Club private beach area and pool in Atlantic beach. Here we were able to get meals, have towels, and have chairs and umbrellas set up for our use.
Catamaran Trip:
On Thursday night we had a private Catamaran trip that left from downtown Beaufort and looped around the area for us to watch the sunset. It ended up being cloudy the night we went, but I personally thought the sun behind the clouds was absolutely beautiful. We ate prior to coming, but they had beverages available for us on the boat. There was even a netted area upfront that we could ride in and they allowed our youngest cousin to help put up the sails.
Ferry to Cape Lookout:
The last day we were there we took a ferry to Cape Lookout. You could either go to the island with the lighthouse or one with wild horses on it. You can see everything we did a little better in my second vlog that comes out Sunday, but we went to the island with the lighthouse and I got to climb it! There was also and beach area where you could spend the day and there were even people that had camped in the area.
Where We Ate:
4 Corner’s Diner:
The first morning we were there we went to 4 Corner’s Diner near where we stayed and got breakfast. It was absolutely PACKED there, so clearly it is a popular place. I got a ham and cheese omelet, but they had tons of different waffle options that looked really good too!
Sanitary:
For dinner one night we just wanted a simple sea food place that was good for eating with a lot of people and was also casual so we went to the Sanitary. I got shrimp and it was good but what I lied most about the place was that there was a little book where every guest could sign their name, where they were from, and any comment they had about the restaurant! They also sold t-shirts if you are looking for a souvenir!
Beach Bumz:
One day for lunch we ate at Beach Bumz (yes, I still ate pizza nearly every day on this trip) and I was really excited about it because I got Hawaiian pizza! They also had things like sandwiches and burgers.
Table 9:
We were originally planning on eating at Amos Mosquitos tonight but it was too busy so we needed up here. Sister Dana and I split the Crab legs and the Bacon Wrapped Scallops on some type of Honey Roasted & slightly spicy (for reference, I think sweet potato fries can be spicy) Cheese Grits. This was my favorite place we ate while on vacation!
After we walked over to an ice cream shop that had Hershey’s ice cream and fudge right near the restaurant. I got the birthday cake ice cream- one of my personal favorites.
Black Sheep:
One of our last nights there we ate at a pizza place in downtown Beaufort called Black Sheep. I got the pepperoni pizza and it was really good, but isn’t all pizza?!
Shopping:
Atlantic Beach Surf Shop:
The first place we stopped to shop at was the Atlantic Beach Surf Shop. I showed a lot of what they had in my vlog, but to summarize they had brands like Vineyard Vines, Patagonia, Lilly Pulitzer, Southern Marsh, Columbia and more!
James Clothing Boutique:
Once again, you can see all the stores better in my vlog because I videoed the inside, but this store in Morehead City was a super cute boutique and the jumpsuit below is what I tried on!
Ann Paige:
Right beside James Clothing Boutique was Ann Paige, the one place I actually got something! I loved the fit of the two piece but the romper is what ended up coming home with me!
Island Proper:
This was a super cute boutique in downtown Beaufort that had tons of boutique brand clothes but also Vineyard Vines and Kendra Scott!
What Y’all Recommended to me:
A ton of y’all were messaging me on Instagram and recommended a few other things that I did not get a chance to visit but wanted to share with you anyways!
